Nice sign boys

This was taken right after I left a Nascar race in Texas. At least they said, “please.”

Mark J. Rebilas is a professional sports photographer who has been very generous in letting me use his pictures for my site. Here’s a self photo he took at the Sprint Cup Series in Miami 2009. His blog offers an up close and personal look at the races. I highly recommend visiting it: MarkJRebilas.com.

The Jack Man

Jack Man

Jim “The Jack Man” Burrows has been camping at the Daytona International Speedway since 1980. Burrows has set up what he calls, appropriately, “Jack’s Bar.”

Jack Man2

Jim offers one free shot per night to female campers who visit his bar, and also offers visitors the chance to sign the bar itself.

Jack Man3

Here is a shot of the flags on his observation deck.

Burrows and his friends plan on keeping their spot for many more races to come, as Burrows affirmed by joking, “My tombstone is under that truck, you hear me?”

Infield Tiki Bar

A bar setup in the infield of Speed Weeks at Daytona 2007. The white picket fence was a nice touch.
